Musagetes — Bik Van der Pol Campaign

Liesbeth Bik and Jos Van der Pol have been working collectively as Bik Van der Pol since 1995. They live and work in Rotterdam. Through their artistic practice they explore the potential of art to produce and transmit knowledge. Their practice is based on cooperation between the diverse communities they work with and the artists themselves.

Musagetes is a foundation based in Guelph, Ontario which seeks to transform contemporary life by working with artists, cultural mediators, public intellectuals and other partners to develop new approaches to building community and culture.

We took the circle theme devised in the Sudbury Café marketing campaign that we developed and applied it to the Bik Van der Pol event. We used a gritty and edgy approach to this campaign as the event was based around the controversial nature of scrubbing off Sudbury’s polluted landscape. We produced posters, rack cards, and devised a social media strategy for this event.
