Sudbury Design Society
The Sudbury Design Society (SDS) is a sub-committee of RGD Ontario that acts as the voice for graphic designers in Northern Ontario. Made up of several design professionals, the committee hopes to create awareness for the importance of design in the North. The SDS communicates the ethics of the RGD and encourages mentorship between design students and professionals.
As a decision makers and communications directors for the committee, it was our role to develop an identity that truly represented our strong and diverse team of designers. It was a challenge to unify such diverse talent into one symbol.
We took the brand further by creating a sleek and minimalist website with content management system that acts as a community portal for the local design society.
It’s never easy presenting to a committee — consensus can be hard to reach. It’s only made worse when you’re presenting to designers. We tend to be a critical bunch, but Bureau’s work sure shut us up. They have an uncanny ability to find the obvious creative solutions that leave everyone happy.
